the media, TV, magazines that show us celebrities that are beautiful. When we see them we try to become like them, but in the process, convince ourselves we are hideous. So we put on the makeup, the lipstick, eye liner and blush to make ourselves look exactly like them. But when we try to do that, we only realise how much we are not like them. So we? try even harder, perhaps going through anorexia, to be like them. Untill we’ve destroyed outselves completely.

this to me is how girls are influenced by television and try to imitate all they see, such as impossibly thin models, photoshopped magazine stars and such, they keep pushing and pushing themselves to get closer and closer to what they see, but the closer they get, the harder it is to achieve the impossible, so they end up killing themselves over it because they truly believe that being the way they? see celebrities and tv stars is the only way to live happily.
